My inspiration to cut the Choose a Signet from my cube :) Along with your many posts about cutting 2 mana ramp in non-green. It was my only 2 generic mana ramp and it was also one of the only clumbsy cards in the cube because of the way it functions => cut!

I have 10 foil Signets that are real Magic cards. As per the link :) The custom card is only the enabler. By the way I have been thinking about cutting Choose a Signet from my cube and thus cutting Signet.

I agree that you certainly could provide the players with 100 % of the card text. I do this with Scrolls because they are custom cards based on real cards but I do not do it with the Choose cards like Temples, Bounce lands and Signet because people already know what they do. I run Thousand-Year Storm and are otherwise done with storm. It is quite interesting how it is not always the same effect you get in multiples. Build-your-own-storm :)
