    The Train Station

Isn't the real Titan counterpart in this scenario the Noxious Gearhulk? The demon's downside is very real, and can be used to great advantage by the opponent in a variety of scenarios (like Onders example). BTW, if you want to take someone directly to a post, you can click the little grey...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

if y'all ever take the chance to play Shandalar, they do a very similar thing to conspiracies in that game. Certain enemies start with, say, Crusade in play, and let me tell ya, it's definitely the "I don't have to draw it and it's just there from the start" part that is what makes this sort of...

aha, felt like I was missing something. The answer is still no from me. Golgari card/deck + Simic card with weird wincon doesn't seem very appealing. I think the real answer here is obviously vigean hydropon Joking aside, this card would actually power out some results from the Ascendancy...

What exactly is the interaction being shown here? Ascendancy is "one or more" counters, so GGT won't really help proc the win-con any more than most other +1/+1 counter creatures. Is it the continuous ability to regenerate?? That doesn't seem very spicy either.

on the flip side, running both just overpowers blue draw, because both of these spells are phenomenal. I'd only run one or none. Their "synergy" with the graveyard comes second at best to their power level.

palace siege Seems like a higher power option, even at one more mana (T5, for example, = the turn after Wrath). The second choice of a Disentomb every upkeep is very solid.

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

Yeah. Ranumap Excavator, at the same CMC, will probably net more "extra" land drops overall in many games and has the consistent body. Especially true in GR lands, where discarding lands from hand is a focus.

yeah that's what I'd call the definition of a Christmas-land hand (which was asked for). On the play it's literally 100% of the cards seen so far (9 out of 9)

IMO, Evolution is the best to run on it's own, without any particular shell. I've seen people take it for lots of different decks, especially with some build around creature like The Gitrog Monster they want to get out consistently. GSZ works well enough by itself too, but the G creature...

I do run it without the squadron. Maybe its a flex slot, but it's still been a good card.

    General Fight Club

My gripe isn't specific against Hellrider per se. But it's one of the most powerful things red can do in cube period, so it showing off how it's raw power overshadows some cool interaction that was being actively curated via squadroning... isn't really a measure of the Battlement's downsides in...

General Designing for 3 to 5 Players?

I often run about four players. We usually vote in the beginning whether we are doing multiplayer or round robin, to let people make better picks during draft/sealed/whatever. That way everyone knows ahead of time 'ok, I'm playing against 3/4 other people, I need to build for the long game' etc.
