    Card/Deck Revisiting Zombies

I'm not sure what to think about this. Running skaab ruinator will be tough if you are not considering the graveyard to be play space. The best blue zombies were innistrad block creations, and were designed to encourage the graveyard as a zone of interaction. Also: ray of command is amazing...

Would he be enough of an incentive to push someone into a B/W deck with gravecrawlers? I'm imagining him as a midgame engine for an aggressive W/G humans deck, or as part of a value package in a B/W gravecrawler deck.

    Innistrad Themed Cube: 360 Unpowered

Yeah, generally I am trying to encourage everyone to play sim city magic, that was part of why I had to get rid of most of the mass removal hmmm...according to my notes, here are the black themes and subthemes I have: BW: nickle/dime control: tokens.* BG: Dredge (includes spider...

    Conspiracy-ing

This seems like a really fun idea. Hopefully, this will involve knight of the reliquary, lots of landfall cards, and harrow. I could see scapeshift being a combo deck with landfall triggers, but also able to use valakut to win. Worm harvest might be really good here too. The double fetches...

    Card/Deck Revisiting Zombies

Oh yeah, fyi I would not run skaab ruinator in just any cube. He is a solid blue dredge card, and unless you are supporting U/G dredge (or self-mill if you prefer that title) he will probably be pretty bad. I've ran loyal cathar on and off for a while, and the problem with him is the low...

I can confirm from personal experience that skaab ruinator is amazing with pod. Armored skaab is also amazing if you are trying to encourage blue control/midrange graveyard decks.

    Innistrad Themed Cube: 360 Unpowered

Unfortunately he hasn't shown up in draft yet, but I will let you know. I want him to fill a role similar to invisible stalker, as a really difficult to deal with evasive threat, but without the annoying hexproof.

    Innistrad Themed Cube: 360 Unpowered

    I. Storm Experiement Like I mentioned before, i'm in a position where I could run brain freeze rather easily as a value spell that sometimes kills someone. After giving it some thought and toying around with an experiement list on cube tutor I decided it wasn't worth it. This ars arcanum...

    Innistrad Themed Cube: 360 Unpowered

Ok, now that I have had some time to play it, first major update. Slicing down to 30 artifacts, than from 48 to 50 in each of the main colors, and cutting almost all of the mass removal. I will explain in a follow up post. For reference to anyone curious: Pre-Update list->Post update Current...

    Card/Deck Vanilla creatures

Exactly, and you are 100% correct about the disadvantage of the approach, and it is exactly why I am running loam lion, but not kird ape, and can't see myself likely to ever run wild nacatl again. I weighed the pros and cons and came to the conclusion that I was ok with giving Wx decks slightly...

    Card/Deck Vanilla creatures

When tokens die they make the zone change to the graveyard zone before they cease the exist. This means any abilities triggered by something entering the graveyard zone will still trigger. Rest in Peace prevents that from happening by making the tokens immediately make the zone switch to the...

    Card/Deck Vanilla creatures

What I did when I designed this new cube, was I sat down and wrote out each of the 10 guilds, and than tried to decide on a main theme and a sub-theme for each.* From there, I made a judgment call on what I would need to push people in those directions, and then adjusted it based on how people...

    Card/Deck Vanilla creatures

One way you can somewhat get around that problem is having a number of your archetype enabling cards be off-color activation/interaction cards in the mono sections: desperate ravings kird ape loam lion forbidden alchemy etc. I've always liked protean hulk's flavor text, but he is hardly...

Yeah, I thought that might be the source. Those videos just made it look kind of weak though. I don't think I ever actually tried it in any variation of my cube though, because of memories. I suspect that if I ran it, the end result would be that it would be a dedicated anti-durdle card...
