Pretty different from my idea. My idea would allow only one card per MV+type. More of a thought experiment or something to draft a few times, as the replay value would be low.

I have a tough time calling that T2. Would you look at a cube running Burst Lightning and Mana Leak and think "pretty low powered, based on these second tier spells"? Just because it isn't Lightning Bolt would make it tier 2 in Modern or a large singleton break, sure, but most cubes are...

Sort of similar, ya. What exactly is the restriction there? Didn't have any info in the overview. It's super non singleton (AKA Waddelled), but it runs several cards per slot. I like art singleton as a concept, except that my players won't know what the Japanese or Invocations do.

I sometimes wonder how cool of a cube you could design if you only ran one unique card per CMC/card type. Like 7 Savannah Lions, 10 Charming Prince... 3 Gods Willing, 4 Oust, 4 Hallowed Burial... etc. Maybe that's back to being blasphemous?

Like if we started with 8 Deprive? Probably. Unlike most shitty ideas (where is @LadyMapi ?), this one doesn't excite me.

The value of bounce, for me, goes up a lot if it can hit my own Demonic Pact.

Deprive has some cute uses, but something else is going to be much more consistent. Would have been a cool Zendikar design at 1UU with "may" on there.

I basically just wanted the 2 MV counterspell, as this exile effect is largely priced at 1UU. I could add Syncopate, as well. I think a lot of cubes are a little short on counterspells and I'd like to run a few more. Yeah. It's been drafted by 2-8 I think. It just depends who we're able to get...

The latter is the actual WotC wheel, afaik. It's the ordering I've always used.

Alright. Enchantments actually kind of suck. I'll leave Zur because he's really cool and doesn't ask for much, but I'm not going to hit the kind of enchantment numbers needed for a full theme. Aphemia could stay, as a decent 2 mana threat. Anything else is almost sure to go. About to go to the list.
