IF the answer is "control decks have creatures thesedays, this isn't that bad", I'm okay with it. Hard to remove but doable, and works with basically any removal spell, but still costs you. IF the answer is "This only dies to wrath and your control decks have wraths", that's still a bad answer...

You know, I've always resisted putting Ward - Sacrifice a creature on something because of control decks. Maybe I'm worrying too much, maybe it's hexproof.

It's listed as the "Praetor" frame, since those are the cards they made initially in it. I'm sure you could adapt it to work for non-legendary creatures.

    General New Format: Oathbreaker

People are already paying 6 mana for a 3/2 vigilance in their control decks, it basically doesn't matter how bad the 8th card you get is: it's an extra card. You can balance things like this, you just have them replace a card in your opener instead of being an additional card. Eg: MSEM has a...

Apparently Ravnica:Mythic Edition is the first "real" version, you could say contraptions use this frame but it's not quite the same. Eldrane is the first time you found it in packs:

"Before the framening" is a weird way to make someone feel old :P Also fun fact: BRO and ONE didn't introduce new frames. BRO showcase cards just use the old-frame-but-not-really thing they do occasionally, and ONE showcase cards are just the default borderless frame (occasionally with the...

My experience was it was very combo oriented. Companion showed us the power of an 8th card, a 9th card just REALLY pushes the incentives to do anything but fair magic.
