Yeah, it really hasn't been a main point here over the past ~3 years since MTGS has been so diminished in popularity as of late. When people here think "Powermax," they're usually thinking of poorly-balanced Vintage Cubes that are essentially just a pile of generically "good" cards in a box...

General What can green do that's not ramp?

Green is very effective at inserting your library into your graveyard: Satyr Wayfinder Mulch Winding Way Grapple with the Past It tends to use that resource as a source of card or mana advantage: Honored Hydra Call of the Herd Voracious Typhon Hooting Mandrills

Oh gosh golly I made a boo-boo. So assuming an 80 card deck that boils down to ~18 lands and 8-ish ramp spells (I'm counting the Quandrix Cultivators and Binding the Old Gods as ramp, although I could see not counting binding in this grouping because it also doubles as a kill spell). And like...

Falkenrath Aristocrat more because it has haste, doesn't grow unless you specifically have humans, and is all-around easier to deal with. Immerstrum Predator snowballs out of control really quickly, and I don't find that play pattern to lead to good gameplay.

Both are very fun. They 0ffer very different play experiences, but are both nice because they're not particularly bomb-focused. As long as you draft a good deck as opposed to a pile of random cards, you can win.

I think you're kind of missing the point. From what I understood, the point was that 7-drops are not cards that every deck can be expected to play, because not every deck can naturally support getting 7 mana sources into play over the course of an average game. In all of the examples you gave...

It seems like it could be interesting in your multiplayer environment, but I don't know if it will be actually good.

    Dom's Stream of Consciousness

Apparently the reason why they name Core Sets a year ahead but keep Commander products on the current year has to do with how big-box retailers like Target and Walmart stock their shelves. If a product has a name with the past year, those stores will tend to stop stocking the product and might...

Honestly I'm not sure I like the idea of using member emotes at all (especially since 3/4 of the people with emotes right now aren't even active users anymore and might not even come back ever).

Can we remove the "Last Edited" feature? I liked being able to go back and fix spelling mistakes on posts from two years ago without anyone noticing ;).

That's not a difference between Classic Riptide and Cube Brainstorming Discord (CBD) philosophy in terms of outcome, that's a difference in individual design goals. Sirfunchalot's Cube is definitely focused on allowing players to draft decks that kind of feel like constructed decks, while a Cube...

I'm not sure what I have to say is relevant to the main argument here, but I may have something to contribute. 1. Young Pyromancer isn't needed everywhere anymore. He's a good card no matter what, but cubes without a spells-matter archetype or a billion cantrips and burn spells won't necessarily...

I've been flunk'd as early as turn 2 before- it's way easier to pull off than it looks. I'm not sure the hand information thing is that big of an issue in paper as you can look at how many cards are in your opponent's hand without necessarily having to ask. Anecdotally, I also tend to ask how...
