    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I guess I'm having a hard time figuring where I prefer it to Charming Prince or Flickerwisp without feeling like it's an odd scenario. I do have every reasonable Ninja that isn't a $50 Clone in a similar role, but those feel like they come down with added value. Skyfisher makes me feel like I'm...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

This seems like the general sentiment but it never felt like it did anything. This was a longgg time ago, however. That list only has a couple of things that Flickerwisp, etc, doesn't have.

    Sets (STX) Strixhaven Testing/Includes Thread

Is that the whole campus set, or specifically you find Quandrix appealing? Curious if it's the latter. I don't know what I like and my cube is a fucking mess right now.

kor skyfisher Sell me on it. I've run it before and didn't get the appeal.

Yeah, I wasn't about to check a 43 minute video lol. Pretty interesting that the JP Foil and the US Foil of the JP card is different.

The etched foils only have a tiny bit of foiling on them.

spellheart chimera crackling drake Drake variants. All come with pros and cons, with Enigma likely being the most consistent of the three. EDIT: You may want to wait a set to make anything D&D themed...

    The Black Cube

With a heavy heart, I have reduced the number of different kinds of tokens in the cube so that players will actually get the correct token. A moment of silence: call of the herd roar of the wurm spider spawning abhorrent overlord And more... It does feel a lot cleaner to me, though. Marionette...

    General "Looking for a card"-Thread

Given that he asked for low powered, I'd like to point out that this is much more fair if you only include cards to discard one at a time. The draw 14 Wheel is probably excessive, as is the draw 4 Looting, but Tormenting Voice or something is much more tame. You can shape the card's power level...

There's names for nonblack color combinations???

I used to run about half of my noncreature red spells as burn. Every red deck wants them. I've recently been experimenting with running spells as a payoff for decks that run lands.

Yeah... It's difficult to know what is or isn't taxing for a beginner because we're so far from that level of understanding. I'll look into some simpler decks as a start. See how that feels. Thanks.

    General CBS

True. I'll look into specifically bolstering the simpler strategies. The massive amount of text generated by having a graveyard effect on many cards or an extra sentence for exiling something is a lot to deal with while drafting.

    General CBS

I've been fighting an internal battle between me wanting to make the deepest format possible vs my playgroup being half beginners/intermediates that can't handle that much text or super tricky interactions. They aren't going to remember that they have a dozen effects waiting in the graveyard and...

Seems like the best solution. Interestingly, the mystery booster cards have been printed recently and still have their old text. So I added -set:mb1

Is there a way to search scryfall for cards as printed? Specifically, I'm seeking burn spells where I can get a physical copy that properly lists the targets.

They fix your mana as much as seeing more cards and having more lands does, but I mostly agree. You could also argue that you aren't fixing anything in a monocolored deck, for what it's worth. I do think Rampant Growth is the much more flexible card. A lot of Gx decks want that and/or Farseek...
