Okay, so a while ago they said they could reprint these out of universe cards from Secret Lair as in universe reprints, right? So MaRo basically confirmed that when they reprint Eleven and Chief Jim Hopper as "real" Magic cards, they will have 'partner with' (each other):

They are very wary of adding more multicolored partners. I'm pretty sure giving Eleven, a three-color card, the partner mechanic was never an option.

I agree, but everything's connected. You can't increase the power of nongreen creatures (one of green's original strengths) without compensating for it. While green is still the color of big natural stats, clearly WotC compensated the color by giving it some much needed creature interaction.

I mean... mono green is a tier 1 (maybe tier 1.5) deck in the current Standard meta and it runs a spicy creature destruction spell ;)

I mean, this is basically what Planar Chaos did :)

Hahahaha, that's priceless! Yeah, this was a major plot point in previous Innistrad sets. Notably, however, Sorin created Avacyn as a caretaker because he didn't trust the predators of Innistrad to restrain themselves. These two sets are basically proving Sorin was right.

I vote Stormbind as well. It's the more iconic card, and it doesn't have the unnecessary trinket text about Satyrs.

So... the casting cost has to be exactly the same in mental magic, right? So if you draw an Arrows of Justice, a Duergar Hedge-Mage, a Duergar Mine-Captain, a Hobgoblin Dragoon (as an aside, man, was Eventide the first D&D set or what?!), or a Scourge of the Nobilis, and you decide that stopping...

I think there wasn't a single other creature that came close to being a baneslayer featured at worlds this weekend, so your point still stands regardless :)

I mean, arguably, Goldspan Dragon is one of the best creatures in Standard right now. I don't know how much you want to count that as a baneslayer, since it has haste, but still. On the other hand, two birds and one turn probably takes the cake as the best "creature" at the moment...

I played There Is No Game! yesterday. Absolutely recommended, loved every minute of it (or hour, around five of them to be precise). If you love puzzles, tongue-in-cheek humor, and breaking the fourth wall, you are going to love this game!

Agree, I run both Loam and Crucible (and Ramunap Excavator) to support my Wildfires. Crucible is gas even outside of that archetype. It sometimes gets picked up by the discard matters archetype, for example, because discarding lands for value, then still being able to play them is value!
