Sets (LTR) The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle Earth

Oh man it's not just a one off quote, it's a proper law with a wikipedia page, not just a TVTropes page :P Sturgeon's Law: 90% of everything is crap (context: not just scifi) I would be surprised if somehow -inherrent to the grenre- the percentages of "good" scifi and "good" fantasy were...

I think Rusje is saying that representation is a common problem for fantasy series, and that that there's fantasy series that do get it right, but don't work as fantasy series (I do think it is a bad argument to draw a connection between those two facts)

Those are rookie numbers man, you gotta pump those up! I....you want all these cards to just be bad? You just want them to print more cards you can't use? All Sieges work the same like the battles we've seen, but given the siege subtype I can absolutely see this in the next commander product...

Are people just categorically against any card with something on the back, regardless of implementation? Genuinely curious: Are Kessig Prowler, Barkchannel Pathway, and Cosima, God of the Voyage all equal in your mind?

Honestly this is a sweet little overrun for smaller board formats. What if we took Venerated Loxodon but instead of making it 6/6-8/8 worth of stats, it could draw you 2 cards? It would be worse. Maybe worse in a way you want?

Yeah I'm with Train, Ravnic. I think only being able to target your side (and only artifacts/creatures) makes this a cool thing to run in addition to flickerwisp, not just replacing it. So far, the battles seem interesting. I think giving yourself a 5 loyalty walker to beat up before you start...

Oh trust me, I know, it's just whenever I sit down to do some reading I blink and suddenly it's 3am and I'm 40 chapters deep in some comic book/manga I've never heard of

Sets (LTR) The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle Earth

Man I missed the boat on Prachet. Not that it's ever too late to experience a work, but all my friends read him voraciously in high school, and I opted for RA Salvatore instead for some reason, and from everything I've seen and heard I can't say enough good things. But I just don't read like I...

    General Secret Lair Spoilers

IF the answer is "control decks have creatures thesedays, this isn't that bad", I'm okay with it. Hard to remove but doable, and works with basically any removal spell, but still costs you. IF the answer is "This only dies to wrath and your control decks have wraths", that's still a bad answer...

You know, I've always resisted putting Ward - Sacrifice a creature on something because of control decks. Maybe I'm worrying too much, maybe it's hexproof.

I do think Knight Errant isn't all that strong comapred to designs of today. Pros: -Permanent effects on the minus -Super reasonable and reachable ult that doesn't just say "you win" Cons: -Lifelink tokens are more powerful but another slightly different token in the box -Might need to add...
