Though fair warning, have some advil on hand while you play :P You know how magic is a hugely decision rich game, but you ease into it since there's not a ton you can do on turn 1, so the tree grows as the game goes longer? Yeah the DMC doesn't have that "problem"

Cleave is certainly a bit weird. (Understatement of the year) I'm not one to let "this is the only card with mechanic X" stop me from running a card I genuinely enjoy, but on the other hand: I've been fixing WotC design mistakes for years, what's one more?

From all of this I figure you're fine efficiency wise at lower values of X So if the idea for Secure is to cast it for x = 8, than maybe these aren't wholly comparable. But like...it's blue. That's just so different Edit: I should clarify, I have no idea if that makes it better or worse...
