I'm not sure they really imply a counter theme. Sure they play well with it, but you can see pretty well they work well independantly. Jitte is artifact support, but I wouldn't really count it as such.

My cube doesn't have e a huge token sub theme and my customs don't really have a rhyme or reason as to which have Flavor text and which don't, so if it's gonna be fair anywhere it'll be fair in my cube :P

This thing seems pretty good. Sure you can look at your deck and go "Which of my creatures are wordy enough?", but the easy way out is noticing that tokens basically never have flavor text

Anyone actually playing kird ape like a red card is doing it wrong :P That being said, you could run literally 10 more red cards than any other color and your drafters wouldn't notice, let alone an extra one.
