Am I the only one which is irked by the abuse of keywords? This set has so many keywords which could be great if they show up on many cards. If they do not, it seems like a waste of mental memory.

Black is strong. It’s weaknesses are enchantments and artifacts. Discard mitigates those weaknesses. It becomes a problem when the answer becomes too strong. Similarly, when a lack of an answer becomes too weak. To me it seems that both of those points were valid at the same time.

I would stay away from Rex, it is a 2 turn clock which can be a tad to strong on turn 3 and it adds complexity with a trample counter. Too many different counters are confusing.
