It has been stated before but why do you not use double sleeves and put a small piece of paper inside which states the level? This is used by some to differentiate occasionals if my memory serves me right. Of course, when one desires the perpetual shizzle it falls apart and then sighs option...

The distinction is that an interaction card has restrictions vs the target is restricting what it can target. The former is okay, the latter not. My point about flying and plummet was that flying does not reduce most interaction cards. It reduces blocking. My gripe with hexproof and ward is...

I agree it is a step in the right direction. However any keyword which reduces interaction of one side: like hexproof and ward, are most of the time joysuckers. There are plenty cards which actually make flying worse, like Plummet. They could create spells which say destroy target creature with...

Those are corner cases created by rule differences to differentiate how they work while how they work are essentially the same. You could just as wel create kicker and rekcik where one of the two could be done while paying alternative costs and one where those things cannot be done. Ward a lot...

Mwah, protection and shroud holds for all players... expensive ward (uncounterable left out of the equation) is essentially hexproof... ward of 1 or 2 could be okay. Still, I would rather have a shroud variant of ward like the glasskite. If something holds for both players it makes the game...

Nice, I missed the counter part!

Well, technically hexproof is a subset of ward.... I do not mind a part of ward, but ward with something expensive (read 3 or more) gets darn close to hexproof. I absolutely loathe hexproof. I would rather have that the ward penalty also holds for the controller...

The scarecrow screams etb/ability creatures. I like ability creatures but not etb. It is funny with arcbound creatures /good old spikes since those get their +1/+1 counters...

Yeah, but look at the cards which were in the GrimJar deck. Grim monolith Mana vault Voltaic key Dark ritual Lotus petal Mox diamond Memory jar Megrim I think the fast mana was the culprit. One tournament sealed the fate of the wrong card and it got retroactively added to the previous ban list...

Hmm. The issue is that the opponent makes the piles suboptimal given the knowledge the opponent has... This often leads to 4 cards vs 1.

We haven't seen it written before like this is a fallacy. We haven't seen cleave before... Write it such that it is clear to the reader. We all live and learn. How it is written in the past does not matter. The original (kicker) one is great! Less mechanics/keywords is often better!

Welcome to wotc money grab bomb cards... In their goal to have no negatives for one player (the caster) they actually made the game less fun due to the times you could not do anything against a card... Even a very bomby card like worship has more counterplay since it does not present a clock...

Spells/abilities only fizzle (gets countered) when ALL targets are removed. If one is removed the other two will return.

The monk class only reduces 1 colorless, so one could not have enough blue mana even though the second spell can be cast cheaper.

If they do not kill it, they die by the judge. It has vigilance and flying so in most cases it demands an answer. I like it a lot. Sweet mini game and it breaks open board stalls in an original way. It is fair since you have 3 turns before it starts attacking and when you have to kill it you...
