I'm ambivalent on the choice in question but I wanted to say that your frame is very good. I like how they can scan as spells or lands depending on where the physical card is (on the stack, with the lands) and read cleanly at a distance. Great stuff!

yeah the can't-block PLUS the resurrect on the end step is actually pretty bad.....I'd like to see a phoenix we could chump block with, but I feel like this one can't be better than the Ash or Flamewake Phoenices.

okay so in my opinion the very very best tap/untap archetype enabler is actually a card we already love here: Jeskai Ascendancy It goes off most ludicrously with cards like: Urza, Lord High Artificer Grim Lavamancer Mother of Runes Mikaeus, the Lunarch Crystalline Crawler Steel Overseer...
