How is multiple Bloodsoaked Champions - especially compared to Gravecrawlers?

Hexproof is a lot more palatable on large fatties than on cheap, unblockable dorks, I find. Protection often doesn't even let you interact with your creatures, but at least hexproof on a non-evasive body still lets you gang block.

That's true, Simic Sky Swallower was really sweet, back in the day. And 3 + 5 is a lot less mana than 7. I'm just not sure if I like Mauler more than Progenitor Mimic...

The key with Memory Lapse is that you're denying them a draw step, though, which isn't the case with Delay. There are the edge cases, where Delay does a number on cards like Red Sun's Zenith or Sphinx's Revelation, but aside from that I agree that it's generally too weak for cube, having tried...

Yeah, at this point, I more or less just go to CFB for everything. I used to shop around and compare prices, but now I don't really bother, as their prices seem reasonable enough. CFB is one of the few places that ships for free to Canada, too!

I think the only downside is that someone else 'controls' the database, and if their site is unreliable, then your images disappear temporarily. Also, once you upload it to them, they may store it indefinitely, and all that. But those two small qualms aside, I think external image hosting is great!

Good point, he might not want to create a database just for card images. What if all the image hosting were external? Right now, to draft a cube, you just paste in a cube list of valid card names. What if custom cards were just URLs that pointed to images, rather than card names? Then there...

It's definitely more of a constructed card than a limited one. The next time I draft Pod, I almost want to try running more than forty cards - maybe forty-fiveish? - just to see if it'll smooth things over curve-wise. Probably a horrible idea, but might be worth trying exactly once.

I think you nailed the issue with Pod on the head. It's at its best in high powered environments, where nobody blinks an eye at running multiples of Kitchen Finks or Shriekmaw, because there are so many powerful things going on. In lower powered environments, with fewer Nekrataals and persist...
