You know, now that I think about it, most cube articles do really focus on "here's a design principle, lets talk about how to build a cube where you aren't ignoring it", even if the "design principle" is something vastly simplified like "Black aggro sucks" Maybe we need more of that?

I think it relies on cards which as a single card are not worth the pick, but a playset brings them over that edge. It does seem like a short list though

if you're going to add it, add 4. Blue has no other 1 drops. From there, high toughness dudes are pretty key. Frostburn Weird, Seacoast Drake etc hopefully all the 4 toughness 3 drops you can get your hands on (my fav: Calcite Snapper)

I never really got TCGplayer to work for me, it was always ordering 30 different cards from 25 different retailers, so I was paying shipping a million times over and it ended up being triple the overhead to try and make it work.

Well kinda. Different holes I guess (Dirty!) I'm more like "I need a blue 2 drop that supports spells matter" or like "I need a white removal spell that isn't op and costs 1", and less like "Man dredge was awesome. Moar dredge cards!" Narrower I guess.
