I really like Looter il-Kor as a duplicate. I think replacing your Merfolk Looter with a second copy of it is a plain improvement. They are pretty much the same card except playable in more archetypes. Either way, nothing has improved my cube more than moving two double fetches.

Yeah, I think it's going to be unplayable in Cube. In my experience, Grim Tutor is hard to use at 1BB and this one is harder to crack.

While similar, the Magus works very differently because you can recur him. I like that aspect of the card and I think it's key to making it playable but you might feel differently.
