Current issues with my cube: I think there are too many slots in black dedicated to dumb Zombie support. Some of the Commander cards really annoy me. White needs something to make it more exciting. I don't think there are enough synergies there. Some cards I'm looking at:

These sorts of problems are why I stopped running reanimation.

I haven't played it in ages, but we do play Scotland Yard every now and then. I think Scotland Yard is a fun activity regardless of the outcome, but maybe not everybody is as excited about deduction and logistics.

Wait, what lets you plan future turns in Monster Train? Did I miss something? Or is it more that you see the enemies coming and can set up your defense accordingly?
