That's the thing, though — the Krushok doesn't have to be in a Madness deck. It could just be in a deck that wants to put two +1/+1 counters on something at instant speed for 1G.

I'm definitely leaning towards the Krushok, because having an extra built-in way to get it into your graveyard is pretty solid. Plus, if I'm an aggressive deck, I'd prefer to see a card I can pitch for two +1/+1 counters if I get mana-screwed.

It's only going to do nothing if you don't have a land in hand. Making a chump blocker that does a pretty decent Sakura-Tribe Elder impression when it dies seems kinda fun.

This is especially problematic since part of playing an RPG is trying to view the world through the lens of an inhabitant¹. So it ends up feeling really off thematically. ¹ Let's not get into different roleplaying stances here.

I think I'd play Spare Supplies over the Eye in anything other than a deck that's trying to meme out Vecna. EDIT: And I'm not likely to play Spare Supplies, either.

Yeah, I don't think the Eye of Vecna is a particularly compelling card without the other two pieces, and even then I don't think it's too great.
