Well, there is instant temporary reanimation for 2 or 3 mana, shallow grave necromancy. But that is it. Regular reanimation costs at least 2 animate dead, which I find quite strong.

You are spot on. You need multiple morphs in each colour. However, the whole cube has to be morphed (pun intended) around it. If there are 3/3 for two mana, then morph will have a hard time. Block cubes work great if a morph cube is desired. Also remember that it is hard to mix old and new...

The sad part of Gruul is that flavour wise it should not be a may. And then things start to get iffy. Lands are a core part of mtg. Sacrificing a few is okay, but all the time and as an additional cost. Pfew.
