    Card/Deck Wishboards

I had a variant on this type of thing in microsealed. If I were to do it I'd just make a wish binder, but it's kind of hardcore so I wouldn't use wish cards when new players are around.

    Card/Deck Bounce

Oh, I thought this thread was about how Bounce takes a dump all over Stromkirk Noble (and Champion of the Parish too). Also, it's a bit of a niche card, but I really like this bounce spell.

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

Isn't this card awful though? I'd rather run Treasure Hunt. Twoo's videos, with decks built to exploit Military Intelligence, made the card look really bad. You have to push through two attack phases to make it into a delayed Divination?

Part of the downside of something like Petal is that it's an awful topdeck. Here, that's not a possibility.

Or whether they have some way of converting the mana to tempo / card draw later. Let's not forget that Lotus Petal is a card. Back in CawBlade days, getting a Stoneforge or Jace out a turn earlier would have been a godsend. The thinking is really "would I rather have my first draw be a Lotus...

    General Fixing the Die Roll

I've said this before, but I think it bears repeating. Play vs. draw debates need to be filtered to Game 1 data only. Suppose: a) it is better to be on the play b) the loser of Game 1 gets to choose to play or draw (not really a suppose, it's the tule) c) better decks are more likely to win...

General Boros has a really, really boring theme. Alternatives?

I don't know if it helps, but when I think RW I think "hidden insecurities".

Diversity of archetypes is driven more by design than by the size of your cardpool. Triple RTR drafts (depending on your perspective) come from an infinite cardpool (# of retail packs), and despite no two drafts having the same card composition, diversity of archetypes are quite low. By...

Planning a Video Game Night (8-10 people)

Yeah, I think we'll have 3 TVs + DS's, but 2 of the TVs will be occupied with the main event for the first few hours.

Planning a Video Game Night (8-10 people)

Yeah, we play that a lot, I'm sure we'll do it after the "main event" is finished. The event is currently structured around teams of 2, and Nintendoland didn't factor into that very cleanly.

Yeah, I like the collective thing. Not sure what game in my collection would work well for it. Castle Crashers? Or should it be single player?

General What other formats do you use your cube for?

I'd be so tempted to do 24 / 7 for mnemonic purposes.

Planning a Video Game Night (8-10 people)

Okay, here is the current plan after discussing with people. Each game will be a miniature tournament (30-45 minutes), and the music games are just a 1-song for points thing. How you do in each game translates to a certain number of points. Each game has a winner, then there will be an overall...

Planning a Video Game Night (8-10 people)

I am wondering about the "decathlon" style. Maybe it's better to run individual tournaments for games (e.g. a Wii Tennis teams tournament) and crown a champion for each, then move on. It keeps people committed for less time, and allows people to opt out if needed.

No date yet. How easy is Magicka to learn? I'm assuming we'll be playing some of these with people who haven't played at all. Also, is there now a battle mode?
