General Decks that have 3-0'd your cube

I think Fog Bank is a perfectly valid card to run. Keep it up Tom, looks like a fun deck to play.

This sentiment has come up in the past and I'll echo what I said before. I think we should be defined more by what we are than what we aren't. Let that speak for itself. As far as I am concerned, MTGS doesn't exist. I don't think about it when I post, write articles or design. I don't go there...

I am way happier with my cube than I used to be. There are a number of issues though. I imagine, if you kept your cube in your 2010 state you would have grown very unsatisfied with it. That said, I don't know that all my changes are unilateral improvements. I still have mixed feelings about...

    General How many basic lands?

I have 40-per but have never come close to needing to use all of any one color. But our decks have an average of like, 7 basics per deck.

Card/Deck The art of drafting a deck that goes 2-1 in losers corner

Maybe this reveals my bias but I think I would have slammed P1P1 FtK

We're also potentially in the business of running advertisements for Magic websites.

    Jason Waddell's Cube

I don't really see what this achieves. You need fewer duals than fetches in your deck anyways, and it's never been an issue for people to get at least one relevant shockland for their deck. Sometimes you have to prioritize it super highly but that's fine. It also feels like choosing enemy lands...

    Article ChannelFireball: Utility Land Draft

I added Filter of Choice to Tier 1. That should roughly approximate what you are going for.

General Print this Wizards! (So I can put it in my cube)

Chris' errata is more intuitive in my opinion, but obviously less powerful. I'm not sure which I prefer.

    Article ChannelFireball: Utility Land Draft

The added benefit is that we can add more lands that aren't there. Like, I don't want there to be too many fixers, so I don't include stuff like Creeping Tar Pit and Raging Ravine, but we could easily shove them in the appropriate tier without messing up the dynamic or increasing the overall...

Here's what I drafted up from my experience from how they get prioritized. TIER A (Volrath's to Main Cube) Faerie Conclave Shelldock Isle Treetop Village Gaea's Cradle Mishra's Factory Mutavault City of Brass Gemstone Mine Creeping Tar Pit Raging Ravine Horizon Canopy Filter of <CHOICE>...

But maybe all you need are two tiers.

    Article ChannelFireball: Utility Land Draft

I think the tier list has potential (mostly as a time saver), and it probably approximates the experience well enough. It would probably have to be a little flexible, like. At most 1 from Tier A At most 2 from Tier A + B Four total. That keeps you from getting super screwed if, say, you want...

General When Is Fixing Too Good?

I would point to uh... well, I played with some competent drafters last night and I ended up with 1 fetch and 1 shock and had to play a 1 color + splash deck and got criticized for playing a 2CC spell of the splash color. So, I doubt your fixing is actually too good.

    General Drafting with Small Groups

It's my personal opinion that six-man drafts are fine as is, but the solution proposed (four-packs, toss bottom of back) is pretty similar in logic to Tenchester. I think it's fine, I don't really have strong opinions on the matter.
