Another thing about completing cycles with subpar cards is that if you have cards in your cube no one ever includes in their 40's, are they actually completing any cycle to begin with?

Is there a reason for you to wanna do this other than to "complete the cycle" because it looks nice in an excel sheet? It's tempting, but to me it feels more like a trap than anything else.

Honestly, this idea of the sixth color of magic was introduced in alpha or whenever artifacts first showed up. The specific colorless cost I think is just a set gimmick, otherwise its just an errata.
