General Onderzeeboot, how are you doing?

Well They were illiterate...up until that point. Props to them.

    General Fight Club

It's about the cost of activation, not the cost of the spell. I'd take Woe Strider over Rites any day of the week as a sac outlet and it's not even close, even though Strider costs 3 to cast.

    Brirro's Variant Cube

First off, I love how you support a ton of different draft experiences! I agree with your points about Ante cards playing much more interestingly in Cube than in any other format. Graffiti ante is new to me as well, so thanks for introducing me to that one, Ecophagy! For balancing the cube and...

General Onderzeeboot, how are you doing?

That is definitely not period performance practice on that flute patch.

General Onderzeeboot, how are you doing?

You'll have to go to Balduvian Trading Post for that, Sigh.

Brad keeps bribing MaRo to ensure he can play the majority of multicolored cards. :mp:

    General Custom Cards: The Lab

The difference has to be Hasbro/distributor launch vs. general public launch. But fantastic to hear we're not going to have to wait too long; this is the set I'm most looking forward to.

@Velrun Isn't Unfinity releasing in September? Or has it been pushed back again?

Reading left to right, top to bottom, we have: Mulldrifter Eternal Witness Azorius Chancery Selesnya Sanctuary Boros Garrison Flickerwisp Gruul Turf Blood Artist Simic Growth Chamber Wall of Omens Bloodbraid Elf Which I thought was funny because I would be hard-pressed to come up with a list...

I know that MPC exists, but a) it's great to see the bounce lands getting recognized b) why didn't they just tell us that 2XM2 was going to be Cube Masters? and c) hopefully these will be as cheap as the uncommon gilded foils were for the first couple of weeks of SNC.

General (CLB) Magic: The Gathering: Commander Legends: Dungeons and Dragons: Battle for Baldur's Gate Previews. Even the NAME is long this time!

Even better, games are capped at 20 turns if you don't include lifegain. Which you probably should, but hey, anything to disincentivize super long games.

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

Wraths are supposed to enable comebacks, sure, but being able to Plague Wind for 7 while adding a chonky angel is a little bit more dramatic than resetting the board to zero.

I have not, but I'm hoping to! I'll ping you if/when that comes together.

    General Alchemy

Mmm, I love/hate the idea of chaining sacrifices together by making yet more artifacts. Maybe have it make shards to avoid that problem? The flavor would be weird, but at least these tokens wouldn't be a one-off anymore. :snappy:

I was just about to post that! But, uh, it's a 2-MV rock in the right deck that then draws you a cantrip and a game-ending effect. I think it's good enough. Also, it does a great job facilitating the "artifact + enchantment" stuff we've been getting recently.

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

It was good in M20, but it's slow even by that format's standards. I like how it makes it possible to encourage reanimation decks to play a grindier game than usual, but that's a tradeoff you're making if you run this. As Modin and Blacksmithy say, it can be a pretty powerful package.

Sets Battle for Baldur's Gate: Testing and includes

Include: Sailors' Bane Patron of the Arts Gut, True Soul Zealot Jan Jansen, Chaos Crafter Rescuer Chwinga Greatsword of Tyr It's rough adding two red 3s, as that's one of my tightest slots, but these are both great. Gut makes aristocrats work on his own and Patron is ETB/death triggers aplenty...

General (CLB) Magic: The Gathering: Commander Legends: Dungeons and Dragons: Battle for Baldur's Gate Previews. Even the NAME is long this time!

The Swashbuckler is definitely disappointing, no two ways about it, but I don't see a good way to fix it while keeping the simplicity, low spot on the mana curve, and utility without additional board presence. If it were a 1/1 for 2 that refunded you a mana when you cast it, it would be outright...

General (CLB) Magic: The Gathering: Commander Legends: Dungeons and Dragons: Battle for Baldur's Gate Previews. Even the NAME is long this time!

@Velrun I'm comparing the existing card with a hypothetical version of the car that is 4/4 for 6 mana with all of the other text identical to what is printed and arguing that, all else being equal, transforming that card into a 7-mana 5/6 is a net nerf. I didn't spell out the implication there...
