May I suggest adding Rebound and make it first do phasing and when cast from exile +1/+1? Then it will actually become a Stalk AND Hunt instead of Stalk OR Hunt. It will even do the abilities in the correct order :)

That would just make it trinket text like “This card can be your commander.”

Couldn’t agree more! This is the problem with Commander being their main focus now. Commander had charm when it was an organic format and not sculpted and designed by Wizards of the Coast including the meta. There’s no turning back now though.
