You haven’t? The reason why Curse of Opulence has that wording is to avoid this exact situation where you curse yourself which is a flavor fail. With Curse of Riches it makes sense to curse yourself if you are being attacked by opponent sleightly more than you are attacking the opponent.

But what about all the times you curse yourself? That’s what I’m talking about.
