Man Bolas...
There are 1 Grixis spot in my Fantasy Cube. That spot includes Nicol Bolas, God-Pharaoh and a Crumbling Necropolis.
But man I wish I had room for Cruel Ultimatum, Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker and Nicol Bolas, the Ravager :(
I would only ever run Sage again if I had some of these themes as a huge part of my cube:
Humans, Elves or Birthing Pod.
Otherwise you will never feel good running Sage.
As enters the battlefield will work fine.
‘As’ happens before ‘when enters the battlefield’ and it does not use the stack. This means it is not a triggered ability that can be countered by Stifle. It will work but will be unelegant as humanly possible.
If they choose to use it. It has a severe downside.
Normally we do not notice that downside very much because the person who picks World will most likely play it and will have a good reason to do so. If everyone gets a World, then we might only see a few people playing it.
But that could be...
Although drawing two cards will more often than not draw you a land that you want to play. That means you are paying two land drops and not one.
Of course there are scenarios where you actually do not draw a land and then you can technically not care about one of the land-bounces.
Once again: That is really smart Ondezeeboot!
By the way Wizards have finally, finally, finally indulged on the “Then shuffle”-wording that we have been calling for years. Thanks Wiz <3
If no one bites then I will make a new topic with it for the month of June with more detailed requirements and an actual reward for winning. You better not post your best ideas now!
Man this ‘Partner with’ mechanic is perfectly designed for my cube where you always drafts 2 cards with each pick :)
And it is even better that they do not even mention Commander!
Now I just hope they spoil some mono-colored partners but I doubt it since it would defeat the purpose.
Okay let us re-name it.
It is no longer a competition. Mode like “Please show me your scroll cards. It will be fun to see what you all havd in your cube and/or on your maybe-lists” :)
