Matter of preference for sure, but also cube context dependent. There’s a lot of interesting cards in the pool to choose from, but I don’t find many appealing for my Boros archetypes and cube power level

Brightglass Gearhulk is a stud, and does everything I want in Selesnya. I still like KOTR even if it’s showing its age some

Sometimes a little bluntness is good. I still like Soulherder but would cut it in a second if I was presented with something more interesting. My Azorius section is pretty unimpressive….but not as bad as Boros

One of my favorite cube archetypes is Azorius Flash. It’s a dynamic tempo deck backed with counterspells and removal. The available card pool allows the archetype to scale to almost any power level imo

And inevitably there will be another card printed within a year or so that will fulfill a similar enough role, with better aesthetics, and is good enough to replace the eye-sores. I think of a handful of cards as stand-ins until the perfect card comes along…it allows me to hone in my cube’s design

I hate UB, but if a card fills a role well enough I’ll stifle my vomit and run it

I love these decks. I think it might worth considering bringing back The Underworld Cookbook it’s great with Biotech Specialist and Ensnaring Bridge

Yep. I used it for years, and enjoyed it. It’s a good card for a cube where smuggler’s copter is too strong for the environment

If only it sacrificed itself!

All I will say is I love Mindslaver, and nobody can make me feel bad for running it
