On that same note... some classics: Countryside Crusher Turntimber Sower (Crusher's a fun top-end card for red decks that want to cap out at three lands, since it guarantees that you aren't going to draw anymore. Also there's a goofy combo deck where you run Crusher, Fling, and 38 Mountains...)

Or you could do something like... Kazandu Mammoth - {1}{G}{G} Creature - Elephant Landfall - Whenever a land enters the battlefield under your control, Kazandu Mammoth gets +2/+2 until end of turn. You may play Kazandu Mammoth as land. If you do, it loses all abilities and is a colorless land...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the idea is less "turn your cube into a bucket of Generic Archetype Porridge" and more "be aware of how much space you're spending on cards that will only see play in one deck".

It's important to consider that slot efficiency (a good term!) doesn't exactly equal the cards used thanks to "x-for-1" cards. For example, that Dark Depths archetype might take up more virtual space in your cube than it initially appears if your cube doesn't include any other land-based combos...

My issue with Dungeons is mostly that they're just kinda clunky? They've just never felt right in play for me. You actually can't - after you cast it, it becomes a different object in the graveyard. So it's pretty safe. ... Also, there were actually quite a few Human Elves in the D&D sets...
