    Sets [J22] Jumpstarting Once More

Both of these are honestly kinda intriguing.

    General Custom Cards: The Lab

In summary: intellectual property laws are nonsensical at best and actively malicious at worst.

    General Custom Cards: The Lab

Pretty much this. If they don't protect it and can't plausibly claim to not know about the breach, that's basically an admission that their trade-dress has become generic (kinda like band-aid or jello). In other words, they have to move to protect their trademark, even if they don't actually...

    Sets [J22] Jumpstarting Once More

Oi, WotC, stop making cards that feel like they were explicitly designed for one of my weird cubes. Runadi, Behemoth Caller Dutiful Replicator In all seriousness, Dutiful Replicator is interesting, since it's a flickerable Populate effect that won't break anything if you make a token copy of it.

Fleecemane looks scarier than it actually is. It's basically a Watch Wolf that has two extra modes: 1) You can spend {3}{G}{W} after a turn cycle or two to upgrade it, giving villain plenty of chances to deal with it. 2) You can top-deck it as a 4/4 hexproof indestructible for {3}{G}{G}{W}{W}...

    General Custom Cards: The Lab

Oh hey, someone's stealing one of my ideas. Noice.

Actually... here you go! Maybe. I'm not sure I got everything. The trick was to search for a string that matched as many burn spells as I could think of, and then remove every instance of "any target" from before Dominaria was printed. Cards reprinted after that change have the updated text.

I did a bit of research, and it doesn't appear to be possible, even through the API. I was hoping that someone added an otag or something, but no such luck.

Golgari Thug, simply because it lets you get back good creature cards that you dredged over.

Who's the Beatdown? A Macroarchetype Cube

You're trying to support Green control (among other things), and you haven't broken singleton on Eternal Witness/Primal Command? I am disappointed. (In all reality, it's probably for the best — I would force it in literally every draft forever.)

    General Defining & Optimizing Complexity

I hate it too. And now I'm looking up what cards make 2/2 tokens... because you might as well have all face-down cards share the same stats.

If they're doing that, clearly you need to also have a Manifest/Morph subtheme in your cube.

What? Long term consequences for short-term profit maximization? I am shocked — shocked, I tell you!

I'd go with Magpie, honestly. Well, actually I'd go with Wonder as a finisher for graveyard decks, but it sounds like you're not interested in that.

Oh, right, other people put bombs in their cubes.

    The Smooth Twin Cube

So, hopping off this because of my recent wishpost... I feel like the Twin format is fascinating because it naturally enables stuff that isn't good in normal cubes, simply because that stuff normally would eat up a ton of space. Like, just to give a really basic example... it's really tricky to...

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

I mean, you do have a bunch of bigger creature tokens in your cube... and that just means that it's probably going to get passed to the guy who drafted Roar of the Wurm.

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I'd even go so far as to say that wishes kinda suck in cube, simply because the situations where wishes are good hardly come up in draft formats. Like, a wish is good when you're using it to pretend that you have seven copies of a key combo piece (3x in deck, 1x in board, 4x wishes), when...

If you're looking for low-power equipment that helps close out the game, how about something like... Team Pennant?

I'm honestly kinda surprised at Ranger-Cap vs. Thresher being a fight, since they belong in very different decks. Ranger is cool because it grabs you another aggro critter or Mom or something. Thresher wants to be in the same deck as, like, Adorned Pouncer.
