Sets [IKO] Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths

Here's a nice Zulaport Cutthroat variant for those of you running aristocrats decks. With this card you're effectively trading 1 extra mana for the ability for your engine to not die to creature removal, and you still get the 1/1 body to boot.

How else are commander players going to deal with gods? Run MULTIPLE enchantment removal spells? That's crazy!

Sets [IKO] Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths

The metallurgic summonings (Metallurgic Sharkening?) mode is not how this card is going to be played 90% of the time. This is a scalable flier that draws cards. Despite kind of being the cycling guy, I'm not even that concerned with the Drake Haven synergy here- every blue deck except for dredge...

Speaking of your White Pairings... Looks like Pyrohemia/Wildfire got a new toy!

Sets [IKO] Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths

You see, I would agree with you (and I actually do agree with you about the creatures), but almost all of these cards have been outclassed by previous cards. Like, Smelt is a mana cheaper than shatter, Bident of Thassa was a strictly better Costal Piracy back in 2013, Circuitous Route is...

Sharknado. This card is very good and I shouldn't have to explain why.

Alright check this out: Valiant Rescuer is a strange mix of Shepherd of the Flock and Drake Haven. Don't let the fact that this guy can only make tokens off of true cycling triggers dissuade you- it's still a Blade of the Sixth Pride with Cycling. Although I wish this card had the cleaner...

    Peasant Cube (Working)

This archetype might have some new legs thanks to all of the giant cycling creatures in Ikoria. I think a little bit of caution is warranted with stuff like Riddle of Lightning and Rush of Knowledge (expensive cards that don't do much unless you have a chunky creature in a specific location)...
  9. TrainmasterGT

Sets [IKO] Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths

This card is very strong. Yes, I think I will sacrifice my Gravecrawler to grab a Dark Confidant out of my deck on t3. Or perhaps I'll wait until turn 4 to grab an Ophiomancer variant for infinite fuel for this. In addition, it helps set up creature based combos for things like the Persist deck...

Sets [IKO] Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths

I don't think these 3-color monsters are going to be too good in most cubes. They're big, but they require you to be in a third color to cast in creature mode. Most of these mutate abilities seem either too expensive or not impactful enough to make me want to go out of my way to try to make them...

Mutate is kind of weird. I'm just happy cycling is back.
