As much as I would love to have a cube that could run the Kaladesh Invention version of Lotus Petal I cannot imagine a situation where a player would include it in a deck. It is worth so little that it’s hard to justify. The last 10 years that is.
Map however can be a full land card that you...
I just noticed my quote (in your quote hehe)
Any chance you can remember the full contect next time?
When I say ‘I think’ I believe it is important to include. I understand you, me and others have to sometimes cut out things for clarity. But the most important part of the sentence will always...
But then you have other options, right?
I’m not against having options though :) I just feel like you didn’t need this new card because you could already do the same. Like Quasiduplicate for instance. Anyways I have said what I wanted to say <3
@ravnic
I feel like you are not getting rewarded for getting the card into your graveyard.

Not a bad idea.
I believe they were going down this direction when they introduced Alchemy. Perhaps if Alchemy had been a huge succes it could slowly have evolved this way and eventually after 10 years we would have two different games with different ruled, formats and cards.
However Alchemy...
• some counters in the set: bore, chorus, dread, finality, landmark, lore, net, point, stun, and time; one of which is a new deciduous counter.
So finality is the deciduous counter?
Those are some really good advices I would say. If I may add
Have focus on your game being FUN. Fun is more important than strategically complicated. Create deep mechanics over broad mechanics. And pretty early in your process it is a good idea to have some playtest days with people who are NOT...
@Onderzeeboot
1. Landfall. I would agree with you here.
2. Stained Glass. Okay let’s call it the Elder Dragon frame since it was used on the five original Elder Dragons that started a whole format.
3. Adventure. Yes that sucks.
4. Invocation. No I mean Invocation. Like this one...
Okay what about the Adventure frame?
(Only cards with Adventure)
Or the Invention frame?
(Only artifacts)
Or the Invocation frame?
(Only instants and sorceries)
Or the Landfall frame?
(Only landfall permanents)
Or the Stained Glass frame?
(Only planeswalkers)
@safra
Haha that’s a good point! :P
I used to be able to remember them all and distinguish between them easily. But lately it’s not as easy anymore with non-enchantment creatures having the enchantment frame.

My point was that it used to mean something. Now it...
I agree.
There was a time when Wizards used frames as a way to tell us something. For instance the Theros Nyx frames look like stars in the sky because they wanted to be sure we would notice that the creatures were also enchantments so we didn’t forget during the games that Naturalize shoots...
