Yeah, but a huge part of Magic theory is about trying to assess the value of conversion of resources. Nothing but a card is ever a card, but I think it's an interesting discussion that's presented some insightful statements.

I like it, but I wonder if you want 2 Zuran Orb-esque effects floating around, since they're so narrow. The sacrifice deck itself doesn't actually want this card, I think. Even if you have a ton of Threaten effects, you usually have more relevant sac outlets, and don't care about the life gain.

As a general rule Scry gets much better if you know what you want, specifics or not. That's why the T1 Preordain play was often really shit, because you just don't know what you need at that point. Do you need the lands? The wrath? Who knows.

I've long said one of the best improvements one could make to cube is to very deliberate about removal and the way you shape critical turns, "shields up" moments, etc. I am also find with archetypes having explicitly planned weaknesses. The only place where I think complaining about...

For the record I was also running, like, triple Gitaxian Probe. I pretty much maximized the conditions for YP and didn't feel it was really worth it. Well, maximized it short of Storming out. I'm sure Dom has a different take.
