Do people really have trouble getting Searing Blaze online?

These cards seem super hard to evaluate, but my gut says "not good enough"... and then I realize that maybe it's actually a creature sometimes. That's probably my reaction to all the gods though. 5 mana does seem like a lot for haste granting. Not sure if this is a useful reference point: Urabrask

Deathrite Shaman? I run two, and they're awesome. And they gain life. And they interact with Gravecrawler. And fetchlands. It's one of my favorite cube cards.

Dom, do you plan to record any videos of you playing this deck?

I used to run Land Tax but I don't think it really brings much value to the gameplay experience. I never really felt like it was contributing anything from a gameplay perspective.

Sudden Demise has been really cool here. For the record I don't actually play Mortars currently. But if my red section looked like yours I would. :p

I think Jinxed Idol is far more effective than Blasting Station, and I felt like every game where I drew it was an easy win.

Hmm... I love Anger. Especially in a Gravecrawler cube.

I think I'd have to shave two mana off its cost to consider it for my cube.

One-drops give you incredible efficiency per mana to make up for their atrocious efficiency per card.

I just think Mortars is a more compelling design, and it explicitly supports Red control. What's not to love?
