    Article Session Report: Bugging Out

Well, I am not copying anything verbatim. As you saw today, I made some related thoughts and then linked to my original article. I also don't think other sites will mind if I use this as a training ground for new ideas and then polish them up for feature length articles. Guest writers for...

General Decks that have 3-0'd your cube

Basilisk Collar is a fun one. I still have fond memories of a "Sparkblade" deck I made before SparkBlade existed that grabbed Basilisk Collar with Trinket Mage and paired it with Cunning Sparkmage / Inferno Titan.

    Article Session Report: Bugging Out

You know, I've been thinking about the scope of our site, and I think that if we want to make interesting design insights it's good to look at more than just cube. I am super cool with re-runs of old stuff. In fact, I basically did one today. I'll probably re-run stuff I write here on CFB. If...

I still don't know exactly what you are talking about. Am I stupid or are you exceptionally cryptic? EDIT: Wait, I think I see your meaning now.

    Eric Chan's Modern cube (405)

This sounds like a good topic for a blog post. I will admit that I have not experimented with lower-power removal as a means of introducing balance to an environment. There are many levers to be adjusted, and this sounds like an original solution.

That sounds pretty great Tom. I love introducing new people to my cube, especially when they bring such a fresh perspective. New players always see cards and strategies in such a different light, which is very refreshing.

    [360][Modern] - Stubob's Cube

In case it wasn't obvious from his post, Eric runs a Modern cube also. I look forward to seeing you two share design notes.

    [360][Modern] - Stubob's Cube

Hi Sterling, thanks for posting! Looking forward to hearing more about your cube and your ideas. I did a quick run through of your list, and it seemed pretty reasonable. The Planeswalker density was perhaps a bit high for my taste, but to each his own. One thing perhaps to keep in mind is...

    GBS

As Eric can personally attest to, trying to discuss an opposing viewpoint in a public venue can be particularly unfruitful, even if you are especially diplomatic (which you may not have been, lol). The very existence of this website is the realization of the first panel this comic...

We've only had 1 mono-color deck in our last 10 drafts. I don't consider this to be a bad thing though.

Do I look like a playwright? Must I really come up with both sides of the dialogue?

Apparently he first-picked Avenger of Zendikar, which I don't think has ever happened in my cube before.

General Decks that have 3-0'd your cube

Adventuring Gear is baller. Especially with Double Strikers and 20 fetchlands. But really, getting +2/+2 off of a single landfall trigger is often significantly better than Bonesplitter's +2/+0. The extra toughness enables creatures to win battles instead of trading.

    Article ChannelFireball: Utility Land Draft

Good cards win games, but Academy Ruins and Volrath's Stronghold are also a little slow. I don't mind when they take over a game every now and then. Slow decks need help in my cube anyways. In our cube everybody has lots of non-basics, but Wasteland isn't overwhelming or anything. Just...
