    CML's Cube (405, polychromatic)

Yeah, that's kind of the point. I will run it in decks with few if any interactions. The fixing was very relevant, and Turn 1 Lotus Cobra into Turn 2 Fetchland was pretty strong as well. Basically landing any of our 3 or 4 drops a turn earlier (e.g. Turn 2 Geist, Turn 3 Ajani/Elspeth) was...

    Card/Deck Riptide Laboratory (the card)

Volrath's Stronghold is very powerful. It is one of the few utility lands that can hold its own in the regular section of the cube. It's always a strong pick in the utility draft too. The card is at its scariest in a big dumb Timmy Golgari Thragtusk deck.

    Eldrazi Domain Cube

For the utility land stack: The other theme I was looking at is our favorite five-color tribe, Elementals. Obviously we have Evoke and its really nice interplay with Morbid. I wonder if we can't support some sort of Elemental control deck. Unfortunately there don't seem to be many cards...

    Eldrazi Domain Cube

Cost matters as an interesting effect in an Eldrazi cube? Duskmantle may be a little OP in this setting. Ludicrous ways to create lots of mana? Ways to flip the bird to Eldrazi tokens. Things to populate (just kidding, legendary token). Ways to spend lots of mana.

    General Unique Cards

I don't think it is bad design to have cheap cards that are guaranteed to make their way to a control player (i.e. Condemn). It's a bit of a judgment call. I want our control decks to be doing things early, and this has been a useful card to have around. But maybe I have one of the only cubes...

    CML's Cube (405, polychromatic)

    MoxDiamond.dec. Because on your birthday you drink beer, draft 4-color aggro and 3 - 0 (6 - 0).

    CML's Cube (405, polychromatic)

I really think Mox Diamond is good enough without interactions, but maybe others can attest otherwise. Life From the Loam Fetchlands Deathrite Shaman Grim Lavamancer Crucible of Worlds (Cycling lands) Cataclysm Smallpox (Armageddon) (Balance) (Fastbond) Knight of the Reliquary Tarmogoyf...

    Card/Deck Ral Zarek

I'll second the love for Electrolyze. So much value in one card. But as I said before, I'm pretty indifferent between the various Izzet spells. All I really care about is getting Ral into the Izzet section, one way or another.

Hah, if you're going to discuss underhanded tactics, maybe don't post them so... publicly? :) Also I'd really prefer if it were somebody that was not me posting that stuff. For a number of reasons really.

Hi guys, so as you may have noticed we're a small community. That's nice, as people here are all respectful and make great insightful posts, but it would be great if there were more of you! Do you guys have any ideas on ways to get more contributing members? I think there are many people who...

    Eldrazi Domain Cube

I am approaching the initial 360 card rough rough draft. The basic card outline is: Monocolor - 230 cards Multicolor - 65 cards (many hybrid) Fixing - 45 cards (Two Fetch, ABU, Shocklands, 5 5-color lands) Colorless - 20 Currently working on a weird aggro-proliferate package. Not sure if...

    Hannes' Novice Cube

Hannes, you raise some good points. Restrictions do breed creativity (thanks Rosewater), but the really really key thing to keep in mind is that creativity doesn't necessarily lead to good results. In anything. Further, it's often the people with the best technical skills that are able to...

How to: Card Images in Threads!

How does the autocard thing handle it? Do we host a database with the card images ourselves? How is what we do any different from copying the BB codes off of magiccards.info? Pardon my ignorance, I really don't know anything about image leeching.

How to: Card Images in Threads!

Well it's not really my call. Autocarding is out of my range of expertise, so it really comes down to whether Eric has the time or desire to implement it. I will say, for draft lists, a picture is worth a thousand words. It's so much easier to understand a MODO photo of a decklist than to read...

    General Unique Cards

Sunlance was fine. I like Condemn more (especially in my current design), and might add Oust before Sunlance. Chris, I know you run Dredge in your cube, so maybe Oust has (marginally) more play to it? These days I am gravitating towards removal that has some mechanical relevance. For example...

    Eldrazi Domain Cube

I think in order to allow for some mild synergies in drafting I'll go with 2 Overgrown Battlement instead of Overgrown + Vine Trellis.

    Hannes' Novice Cube

Hi Hannes. So, is this in addition to your other cube or replacing it? Perhaps we should keep this all in one thread. I'm going to be completely honest and say that perhaps you should try being a little less experimental in your design for now. That probably sounds weird coming from me, but it...

How to: Card Images in Threads!

Yeah, I guess you can just copy and paste directly (especially from Gatherer). Considering how really really easy it is to put in card images, I wonder how necessary an autocard feature even is. The threads on this board are really beautiful with all the card images pasted in. Perhaps we can do...

    Eldrazi Domain Cube

Perhaps this would work better as a Planeswalker in a spawn-token filled environment? Regarding the Ninjas, one of the biproducts of Jund being so ramp heavy in Rise of Eldrazi is that Blue and White had to pick up some of the slack as the attackers (the Blue-White leveller deck). Similarly...
