I thought as much. Zombie Leech is certainly the superior creature type to Cat Demon, but I like the resiliency and late-game inevitability of the Deathdealer. I wouldn't mind my opponent topdecking leech on turn 8, but Deathdealer? Eek!

Has anyone had any experience with this card in limited (cube or otherwise?) Reaper of the Wilds I'm weary of the hexproof part, so I'ld like to know if this is an unconquerable monster or if the two mana is just the right amount of activation cost to give your opponent the occasional window...

I would rather cut Stoneforge than keep in a Sword of X and Y. If one card isn't interesting to play without including a card that's unhealthy for your cube, just cut both. I don't play Stoneforge, despite running seven equipment: bonesplitter Bonesplitter Empyrial plate Lightning greaves...

I was planning on running both.

This is exactly why I hate any and all Swords of X and Y in limited environments. Other than that the deck looks sweet.

What if you stapled this effect onto Cogwork Librarian and the other cards? Either you keep them and get utility lands, or you put him back to draft twice from a pack. The other Cogworks that are less powerful can be worth more picks or higher initiative in the utility land draft.

Sulfuric Vortex did result in a brilliant game where the opponent of the red player proclaimed "This card is lame, cut it from your cube!" after the first game, then "Haha, this card is awesome! Never cut it!" after the red player lost to his own Vortex in the second game :)

Or you could include a range of numbers which determines pick order in the after-draft shop.

I think it's a way better card to promote red beatdown strategies than Sulfuric Vortex. (Though I reincluded that in my cube recently... why did I do that?) Some people also like to lay down the beatdown, nice and simple, rather than break out the calculator at every corner to eke out a victory.

Well... It did just win a Legacy open as a 4-of.

Also, while Dig was being compared to Fact or Fiction, Treasure Cruise was being compared to Ancestral Recall. Just saying.
