Could it be that there are not enough swingy cards in the battlebox? If it's all marginal value there is nothing that can get you back in the game, so that once you start losing there is no coming back?

Five mana and two cards to get back one card without advancing the board. I don't think Holistic Wisdom has any place outside of combo decks when there's stuff like Eternal Witness, Regrowth, Restock, and more.

I still say make it cantrip and see if the world blows up. Since Think Twice is playable but nowhere near the best card draw spell, and your card is in two colors, I think it's going to play just fine. Might be interesting to shuffle something back into your library from time to time even!

I think your templating on the demon was a bit off when compared to WotC templating, but not necessarily unclear, I merely didn't catch the intended choice at first glance. :) I like Unfortunate Accidents and Hilltop Artillery. Both seem to be firmly in the very playable but not broken camp!
