In a Cd deck (i.e. a deck that's predominantly C), sure, but a CD card can fit in a Cd or Dc deck whereas 1DD is likely off the table in Cd and vice versa

The Bant Flash decks in Standard with Advent, Snapcaster, Resto, Sphinx's Revelation, and a bunch of Charms were really fun. Torrential Gearhulk on Advent is a Cube bucket list item

That's been my experience with a lot of the Commander cards: they look sweet but it's hard to imagine a deck where they shine unless they're the best things going on

How often do you use the ultimate or -3 on Vital Force? I like the idea of it as a weird grindy card but isn't the normal play pattern bashing with 5/5s instead? (aka the Tezzeret problem)

That's one of the things I really like about the MTG Cube blog by Nick West - it seems like he builds sample decks for an archetype as a reference point for what the ceiling is for that strategy, which opens up a lot of design space

If only there was a bespoke Wildfire-esque effect that could trigger Enrage for cheap without killing your dinos... re. Legion's Landing, I find my 'aggro' decks are more interesting and contextually powerful when they are less about piling on damage ASAP and more about building a board...
