Permeating Mass is hilarious, but I really don't want that in my environment. It's just going to drag out into stalled boardstates until someone drops an evasive threat to go right past it. I'm not really trying to take a shit on aggro either with such a frustrating card.

Such a nice track:

I don't know how you could implement this electronically, but I've been using this method in paper for the last few months and it's worked out great: 1) Divide everything by color (WUBRG), with lands, colorless, and gold in a sixth pile. 2) Take 20% of each color and shuffle it into the...

They just gave us something to work with:

Ooh, this is a sweet looking one:

I feel like it's two cards away from being a legitimate archetype you can support. There are more than enough BR enablers right now, just not enough payoffs in a higher powered environment. I think you could definitely deploy it if your power level isn't all that high though.

They're different cards, new Liliana slots into more midrange-y grindy decks. That +1 should not be underestimated, especially not after Jace VP's reign in Standard. It was very relevant shrinking dudes when it came to combat math and this -2/-1 lets her snipe down small things as well...

I don't think it has a spot in most lists. I play it for fun in Tymaret EDH because no one cares about taking two from murder hobo but then they get got.

Timbermare is kind of janky, Solifuge is pretty trash nowadays, Surrak and Vengevine are decent. I cut Surrak a while back after running him for a bit because he just didn't bring anything interesting to the table. Vengevine though? He's staying forever. Applies pressure as a hasty threat and I...

Oh man, collective brutality is beautiful. What an awesome modal spell. Also, Bantmiyo: That +1 being on ANY combat damage is insane. 3 colors makes it tough, but I'm down to try it out. She's so cool.

This card sucks for cube, but it's sweet elsewhere. Time to make Treeskadekaphobia.dec.

I really really love the pack art for Thalia. Was not a fan of the buy-a-box, her face is creepy looking.

Hanweir Garrison is fucking insane. It's a red Hero of Bladehold and it poops out humans for Champion of the Parish. Holy shit.

So I began playing Magic again around M14 and missed a lot of the sets that had come in years previous. The last time I had played prior to that was casually with friends back in elementary school, not really knowing the nuances of the game. I ended up missing a ton of cool blocks and one of...

Oh my god, new Thalia is all I've been wanting for a few months. Been looking for more non-shitty sources of nonbasic hate and Wizards heard my plea. I'm in love.

I liked Vaultbreaker a lot in Limited and I think Dash is an excellent mechanic, but he's probably too weak for most lists. I don't think he's very good as far as curve toppers are concerned, doesn't really have enough staying power to be worth the 4 mana investment.

Fevered Visions is a goofy card for sure and it can definitely backfire on you, but I had a lot of fun proxying up and playing the UR Fevered Visions/Thing In The Ice deck that cropped up after SOI released. It's deceptively strong, that damage does add up over time. I'm not sure of how much...
