I know. That is what you initially wrote and I haven’t forgotten. I would still test it at 4 though. I feel like a non-evasive 2/2 body is useless after turn 5. Putting it at 4 would change your audience from 99 % evoking it and 1 % casting it to 90 % evoking it and 10 % casting it. In my opinion.

This is beautiful. Very well done all of you! The only thing I see is Secretseeker is a bit off because: 1. Artwork 2. The only card without an actual MTG card text. I might also test Probefester at 4 mana.

www.magiccards.info would have you covered on the chronological question. www.scryfall.com maybe too although you can’t trust the order in there 100 %. https://scryfall.com/search?as=grid&order=released&q=%21“Desperate+Ritual”&unique=prints

I will put this into my version of the ULD. What comboes with it? Vampire Hexmage Thespian’s Stage Hex Parasite Thief of Blood Aether Snap Chisei, Heart of Oceans Power Conduit Anything missing?

I find it quite interesting that we have now seen the first demon on Ixalan. We just had to delve deeper than we’ve been before.

Man if somebody was to estimate what a 15 card booster pack from my cube would cost... :)

Super agreed! And lore matters if you want your audience to give a crap in the long run.

I have wanted this in a more modern version for more than 10 years.

Just throwing it out there again ;) Contract (At the beginning of your upkeep, sacrifice this permanent. If you do, create a colorless artifact token named Gold. It has “Sacrifice this artifact: Add one mana of any color.”) It doesn't have the kicker available but it filters mana early...

I’m sorry. I did not mean to offend. My bad

Firebolt was not one of the two options at the table. It is like answering ‘Brazil’ when asked if Germany or Spain will win the big match. I think it depends how many sorceries you have in your cube. In my personal experience Burning Vengeance functions best if you are not going for a big turn...

I personally prefer evoke on this sort of effect. I think it looks very clean and familiar. The artwork for the samurai is terrible for a Magic card but the artwork for the pirate is excellent! I am not sure any of the artworks looks 100 % like a Blackmail on a stick but the pirate is close.

That is probably Magic’s only samurai without bushido.

Thousand-Year Storm

Took me a few seconds to properly consider. At first I thought it was an infinite combo that could deal 20 damage. Then I realized it is a fair ‘2 mana = 1 damage’ combo that is instead very difficult to deal with because Burning-Tree Emissary is always safe in the hand, Temur Sabertooth can get...

Skullclamp will absolutely dominate. You have been warned, sir!

Note to self: Never listen to Underzeeboot in his first attempt to help ;) Wait for the second ;) So this is what I have now: It is obviously too good to see print in a normal WotC Magic set but in a contained environment like a cube it can be fair. For instance this will cost some...

By the way, this is how the land ended up. Thanks to Ondezeeboot for the morbid wording.

Actually quite interesting you also compared it to Overrun in your Reddit article :) I have to try out the card now :P
