This is kind of a weird card to have cycling. It's not really big enough to be an exciting reanimation target, but it's really not the kind of thing you want to cycle away unless you're truly desperate. Great card tho.

Funny thing: Crystal Shard is actually banannas. It just taxes your opponent for 1 the entire game. They can't tap out, ever, or they suffer a tempo loss. That means that Green can't tap out for a large creature, etc... It's quite good. I actually haven't seen Arcane Savant do any broken...

If you're worried about reanimator eating up all the top-end creatures, try some payoff creatures with 'on cast' effects. My personal favorite one is decimator of provinces, but maelstrom wanderer and world breaker are also great ramp targets that have most of their value attached to cast triggers.
