Oh shit yeah we aren't rarity restricted, you can just play like Coffers and Academy. Yeah I'm doubling down on Petal/Twiddle Storm as a suggestion.

Spoiler: Mass Mana Lands

Gateway is a favourite of mine in slower formats, it's very nice card selection but eminently interactable and raceable. I haven't played with or against Matzalantli but I'd expect it to be more of the same. There's also Lost Vale which I like a lot less, but it is another Lotus Vale/Lotus Field/Scorched Ruins.

It's not land-based but there's also The Eternity Elevator if you're doing that kind of thing, as a Gilded Lotus that comes with a dream to live.

That does work pretty well with the twiddles for extra stationing too, that's sick.

Also works well with Wayward Swordtooth and Tropiary Stomper - really anything undercosted with a drawback but those two specifically are land-related!

There's also Patchwork Beastie and The Ancient One, to cross over with Life from the Loam etc graveyard things.

Shame Chitinous Crawler doesn't exist in paper. (The floor on that is "fetchlands", while the ceiling is your opponent getting instantly deleted by, for example, activating it, triggering your Insidious Roots along the way, to recast a Molt Tender with Tyvar, Jubilant Brawler in play to...)

Rather than trying to get arcane to work or upping the density of twiddle, why not play the card that everyone wants?

This card can lower the archetype density of a ton of cards, why not play 2?

Speaking of Storm, there's also the old pauper Petal Storm deck? Enchant a single land or Karoo with a bunch of Fertile Ground effects, then Splice Psychic Puppetry onto Petals of Insight to generate arbitrary amounts of mana, arbitrary storm count, and reorder your whole deck into the bargain. Almost anything works as a win condition at that point, though the classic was a spliced Dampen Thought.

Depending on power level this could be a dead end or only take a small amount of room - if you're already on the auras at least. Psychic Puppetry isn't the most embarrassing card on its own, and Petals is the 'archetype tax'.

Along the same lines is the same idea with some land untappers like Voyaging Satyr. That said, I think this cube runs the same risk as my Eldrazi cube where green could quickly become the main color for the theme.

Scepter is so busted. Careful with it.
