Cubelet using Windfall Variant
Draw 2 cards per turn, play *any number* of non-land cards from your hand face-down as basic lands of each colour (instead of the usual limit of 1 per turn).
1st player draws 1 card instead if 2.
Sharing library and graveyard.
If the deck is depleted just keep playing.
60+ non-land cards.
Really fast and still captures the fun of the game where skill is still going to be the decider.
You should definitely give it a go as a fun variant that still is a challenge because you decide which spells to play as you go and which ones become lands.
This variant enables games to be played during breaks rather than needing to set aside huge chunks of time to play.
Also cuts down on deck building time since it doesn't need to check for mana type, just include the cards you like and get to play them, "drafting" as you play
Is inclusive as others don't need to have/ bring a deck.
It can be an alternative to the packwars variant, instead of 1 booster pack each, players can share 4 boosters shuffled together. Some cards won't work, but they can be revealed and removed with that player replacing it with a new card.
The main draw to this casual variant is the time it saves, while not neglecting the drafting aspect which is one of the more enjoyable aspects. It is also possible if time permits, to draft it before hand, and have separate decks and graveyards for varieties' sake if players wish.
This variant is basically using the cards Prismatic Omen, (though every card has the chance to be played as a land) and Fastbond (without the life penalty).
Playing any number of land cards per turn will increase the player's power of choice and flexibility of play.
There is the option to go all in, to push your luck by decreasing your hand size and the options to recover or try an alternate strategy or react to your opponent if you want to play a high mana turn early.
