General Custom Cards: The Lab

[Aston]

Prodigy's Flame is the reverse but Splice Onto Lesson..? Something there?

[StrionicAdventurer]

There's a lot to like about all these designs.

Reverse Engineer

Very clever name and a nice effect. Could definitely see this design in a Lessons-matter commander precon. (This is a compliment.)

Prodigy's Flame

This one's got that Horizons set vibe that I like. I also think Aston's "splice onto Lesson" has legs. More splice! Give me cards that say "splice onto Adventure"!

Eternal Dryad

Very cool, and also in ten years they could make Timeless Dryad and give it Eternalize.

[LadyMapi]

Prodigy's Flame was originally just going to be Glacial Ray but with Splice onto Lesson, then I flipped it around on a whim and liked the result.

Give me cards that say "splice onto Adventure"!

I started with that and got to

Swimmer Between Moments
Creature - Leviathan Horror
Hexproof
When this enters, if it was cast, take an extra turn after this one.
Creatures you control can't be blocked during extra turns.
Miracle
5/5
///
Foreboding Ripples -
Instant - Omen
Counter target spell (then shuffle this card into your library).

No, I'm not sure how that happened.

[Karshtakavaar]

"Lesson" should always have been "Arcane" and Learn should specify a subtype. Mutate should have been Splice and just added rules text to the existing creature. I will not be taking feedback at this time.

[safra]

colourshifted Thoughtseize

[ravnic]

It's cool, but I'm pretty sure it is still a heavy pie break
