General Evolving Wilds in the basic land box

To simplify the E. Domain cube, I was going to replace the Utility Land Draft with a huge pile of Evolving Wilds. The cube has a big emphasis on playing multiple colors, and there is double fetch / shock / dual in place, which is more efficient mana fixing.

Or maybe a fixed 2-3 Evolving Wilds per person? Maybe people wouldn't need more than that anyways.

Thoughts?

I think we should first try the unlimited version for elegance simplicity and testing. Might as well see how it works out.

I've bought 45 Wilds to do this, I'm in the process of white bordering them. Just putting them in the basic box, it seems easier to manage doing it that way, most people will only have a couple, but the corner cases that want more can go for it. I'm a little worried that it'll punish aggro.

Hey if you feel like you need to switch:

Why and how do you white border cards?

All basic lands are white bordered ninth edition (Plains - Avon, Island - Szczudlo, Swamp - Elmore, Mountain - Avon, Forest - Avon), tokens/emblems are in white sleeves. The cube is all black bordered, double sleeved in clear ultra pros. This means if you fan a group of cards, you can see at a glance what cards have been drafted, and what were free additions. It makes it easy to strip basics and tokens at the end of the draft, which also makes it easy to check that 45 draft cards are returned.

The actual process of white bordering is easy, you need some tape and an eraser. Make sure the adhesive isn't aggressive enough to damage the card (if it is stick-unstick it on your clothes to weaken it), tape the edge of the card, just leaving the black border, then rub with the eraser until the top layer of ink lifts off. The end result looks the same as legit white-bordered cards.
