General Fight Club

I guess I was thinking that Green naturally has more creatures than other colors (in my cube at least) + cheap mana dorks + recursion making it a good home organically. I can see it backfiring though!

I fired off that reply as I was getting off the bus going in to work, and man does it look harsher than I intended - absolutely wasn't meaning to come across as dumping on the idea.

With the benefit of hindsight and time to type, if I was seeing a lot of stuff like Teething Wurmlet and Tough Cookie go by I'd probably consider a Genesis Chamber - still looking to do some kind of nonsense with it (Earthcraft is a great pick there), but if there were enough signposts to draw me into artifact token makers in Green it would be cool to have. With Arcbound Ravager there might even be a Hardened Scales/Ozolith, the Shattered Spire deck that wants the tokens too? Go one creature wider than they did, swing with everything, whichever chump goes unchumped gets to oneshot via an entire board turned into counters? You'd only need to have cast three or four artifact creatures including the Ravager to represent lethal (Assuming a 1/1 attacker), which isn't bad.

Absolutely love the Workshop and Sowing Mycospawn add tho.

No worries, I don't mind getting feedback (positive or negative) on ideas, otherwise I wouldn't post :D

Which card here screams artifact aggro the most

I'd like one more artifact one drop and these are my favorite candidates. I ranked them in my order of preference, though I've never physically drafted with the Harvester. I also support GY, discard and sacrifice, so they all have that little extra bonus.

This is my weekly reminder that Tchotchke Elemental is one of the best cards to support both between tokens and +1/+1 counters.

It's fair, but powerful and the puzzle of it not having trample is great. I'll eventually make a proxy with no "funny" text. I might even have it work on actual +1/+1 counters, even if it's not meant to work with The Ozolith.

It also has a funny 2-card combo with clones which creates a more interestion version of the Kiki-Jiki combo. Instead of infinite haste tokens, you can try and get two infinite/infinite creatures...can you grow them and connect with your opponent's face before they react? Very fun.

Rust Harvester is the clearest sign of artifact aggro but it's a trap. It requires a pretty high density and, since it needs something in the graveyard, most cards only support it if your opponent wants them to be. The delay until it goes online is long for aggro and, even then, it needs you to equip it or boost it before it becomes threatening. I think it's worse than it looks, fun as it might be.

Gingerbrute is the card you want. Having haste and pseudo-evasion makes it perfect to carry equipment and, in my experience, all artifact aggro decks start as equipment decks. It will see play in white even if you don't hit the artifact creature threshold, which makes it fairly versatile. It being a food isn't too relevant, though it means you can sacrifice it to Gilded Goose and Samwise Gamgee

That said, Bomat Courier is another card that pulls you into the archetype, this time from red. It's good with equipment and counters because you want it to stick and it has haste. It's also a 1 mana creature for Scrap Trawler, which are in short supply.

Rabbit Battery is okay but I would choose Courier over it every time.

I don't buy the first part of your argument, as artifact aggro is all about high density and having something in the GY with Baubles, Trinkets, combat, Ravager seems relatively easy. You make a good point about the delay though, only being relevant late. In the meantime, it has menace which is probably worse than haste for this slot, but it still costs one.

I do like the wide appeal it has for most aggressive leaning decks thanks to the evasion. It does seem a little anemic by itself, but I am trying Signal Pest too, so that's an even lower floor! Evasion + Cranial Plating seems like the way to go.

Bomat Courier is intriguing because of the bridge it offers with discard, but I am scared of losing some key exiled permanents if it dies before I cash it in. That's part of the appeal though risk managing and trying to come out ahead.

Harvester MUST be good if we look at Grim Lavamancer.

I kind of like Clockwork Percussionist and Sarpadian Simulacrum.
Harvester is a lot more committal in terms of strategies, but it does seem similar enough to draw a comparaison. I like Percussionist except for the art (much like Piggy Bank which is a neat card with jarring art).

Thanks for the suggestions and feedback!
