I've hard casted that in actual casual games after Ice Age came out. Leviathan, too. Man, they just don't make 'em like they used to.
It's pretty hard to "own" Desolation Angel after the fact since it blows up your lands, so I'll go with something that can work if you have enough lands untapped when they cast it:
