I don't know about you guys, but I feel like white control would be underpowered without Gideon. Is that some flaw in design? I like high-powered aggro, and we need some anti-aggro in there somewhere.

You mean stuff like

I don't playing a miserable card to strengthen white-based control is not where I would want to be. I'ld rather give up on white-based control than reintroduce Gideon to my cube, that card dominated the drafts he was in, ending up in the 3-0 deck every time.

Yeah, I mean, point taken. Gideon was rarely in our 3-0 decks, but it's been a while since I've run the list, so I'll definitely keep an eye on him when we start running the MODO drafts.

He might be less of a bully in higher powered lists, I'ld definitely include him in a powered list, but yeah, he cracks down on aggressive strategies hard. A bit too hard for my tastes. I imagine there's not a lot of boosters where I wouldn't first pick him.

In addition to the cards Onderzeeboot listed, this is what you want in your white control decks to push them over the top

Kinda the same deal as Gideon - mop up the whole board, leave a medium to giant-sized thing behind - but Rebirth actually ends games quickly, as opposed to prolonging them another twelve minutes.
