Notes from the Road: Bristol and Back

Shhh. Today I road a city-bike through an underwater pedestrian tunnel to a park along the Schelde River, ordered fries with mayonnaise and ate them while reading Murakami.

I liked James' story. I don't know that I have the cohones to hitchhike myself, but I always love reading stories about people encountering strangers. I've never picked up a hitchhiker myself, but I'd give it a more serious thought after reading your story.

I'm glad. I have been treated unsettlingly well by the world so far; partly I hitchhike to try to push it as far as it will go. The bad parts are my own doing, and I have yet to meet a stranger who wasn't ok.

EDIT: Good pictures, Jason. Next time I'll try to sort some out myself.

:D Alright, I'll try! Things are looking pretty busy for a little while, so the next time I could hitch hike it will be really cold. Oh well, it's not like I didn't walk into that problem on this one. Calvin's dad would call it character building.
